Tekmar Group plc (AIM: TGP), a prominent provider of technology and services for the global offshore energy markets, has announced the appointment of two new Non-Executive Directors, Lars Bondo Krogsgaard and David Kemp, effective from 12 August 2024. Concurrently, Ian Ritchey has stepped down from the Tekmar Board with immediate effect, while Julian Brown will depart on 30 September 2024.
Lars Bondo Krogsgaard joins the Board with over 20 years of extensive experience in the wind industry and a proven track record of leading global organisations, including publicly listed companies. His career has spanned various roles in wind turbine manufacturing, supply chain management, renewable energy project development, and engineering and technology firms.
Notably, Lars served as the Onshore CEO at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, a Spanish wind turbine manufacturer with approximately €10.2 billion in revenues. He has also held senior positions as Co-CEO at MHI Vestas Offshore Wind and as CEO of Nordex, a listed German wind turbine manufacturer.
David Kemp brings a wealth of financial expertise to Tekmar, with a background as a seasoned FTSE 250 CFO known for leading diverse global teams. His experience includes strategic development, M&A, business performance, transformation, and turnaround. Most recently, David served as Group CFO at John Wood Group Plc ("Wood Group"), a global engineering and consulting company with over 35,000 professionals across 60 countries and revenues of approximately US$6 billion.
During his tenure, David played a key role in transforming Wood Group from an oil and gas-focused organisation into a global, multi-sector engineering and consultancy business. His experience also includes significant capital raising and M&A activities, with over US$4 billion raised and US$3 billion in acquisitions executed.
