​Structural steel and civil infrastructure specialist appointed to continue to drive UK Business Development

Cleveland Bridge UK has appointed an experienced structural steel and civil infrastructure professional as its new Senior Business Development Manager.

Patrick Lawson has 25 years’ expertise in the steel fabrication industry combining extensive design experience with sales, focusing on developing strategic client relationships with tier one contractors.

His new role will focus on building upon Cleveland Bridge UK’s recent project successes to enhance its share of the UK infrastructure market, including the bridge, highways and rail sectors.

During his career to date, Patrick has been involved in a number of significant structural projects including the Fox Road Stand at Trent Bridge, the High Performance Athletics Centre at Loughborough University and Trinity Square Urban Regeneration Development in Nottingham.

He also has considerable experience in civil infrastructure having helped to deliver projects including Junction 19 of the M1, the Tinsley Link Road in Sheffield and the Ely Bypass, which included both rail and road bridges.

Patrick joins the Darlington-based company from structural steel business Severfield, where he was Sales Manager for almost three years.

He began his career in 1992 as a draftsman at Lincolnshire steel engineering firm DA Green & Sons and spent 18 years with the company, rising to become Sales Manager.
