Servelec Controls, a leading independent integrator of mission critical control and safety systems, has reached an agreement with j5 International, experts in people focused Operations Management Software for process industries, to become an authorised, value added reseller of the j5 product suite in Europe.
j5 Operations Management Software is a comprehensive suite of browser-based process safety and operations applications for oil, gas, power and other critical industries that is used across the globe. Today, more than 80% of the downstream and over 90% of the upstream oil and gas assets in Japan use j5 Operations Management Software to improve safety, optimise their operations management processes and enhance profitability. As a result, the j5 solution is constantly maturing in the demanding continuous improvement (Kaizen) culture, found across Japanese industries. Now, with the Servelec Controls partnership, j5 International is looking to expand its reach among potential clients in Europe.
Gordon Duthie, Global Sales and Marketing Manager at j5 International said: “A major part of j5 International’s continuing success is solid partnerships, which enable the delivery of an enhanced solution to our clients. Servelec Controls’ recent award of Select Partner status by OSIsoft is clear evidence of their PI System expertise and dedication to partner relationships. This makes them an ideal j5 International partner, allowing our mutual clients to increase value by combining real-time PI System data with essential human processes managed in j5 Operations Management Software.”
By integrating OSIsoft’s PI System technology into j5’s Operations Management Software, Servelec Controls, an OSIsoft Select Partner, can provide their clients with real-time situational awareness that enables them to both increase workplace safety and reduce lost productivity. OSIsoft’s PI System is one of the world’s most widely used technologies for the Industrial Internet of Things. The PI System captures data from sensors, manufacturing equipment and other devices and transforms it into rich, real-time insights that engineers, executives and partners can use to reduce costs, dramatically improve overall productivity or create new connected services and smart devices.
“This agreement signals the start of a positive and commercially beneficial relationship with another high-profile industry partner and builds on Servelec Controls’ ever-growing status with OSIsoft,” described Ronald Holden, Divisional Director at Servelec Controls. “Our team of PI System specialists have many years’ experience of the PI System; combined with our knowledge of critical infrastructure industries Servelec Controls can provide real value to our clients both existing and new through the integration of j5’s industry-leading product suite.”
