NOF Energy is working with industry-leading organisations to provide opportunities for supply chain companies to succeed outside their traditional sectors.
The business development organisation for the oil, gas, power and offshore renewables sectors is seeking to showcase the wide range of technologies and transferable skills available to other industries.
It has secured the support of major partner organisations including aerospace trade body ADS Group, water industry association British Water, The North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA), The Rail Alliance and The Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders (SMMT).
NOF Energy is hosting the Industrial Diversification Conference and Exhibition 2018 at Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool, on September 13 to highlight the many opportunities for supply chain companies to sell to a wider audience.
It aims to help firms overcome the often cyclical nature of supply chains by securing a more constant flow of work by diversifying into alternative sectors
The key trade bodies and organisations attending are leaders in their respective industries. The Rail Alliance is the sector’s largest B2B networking organisation, British Water’s membership represents all areas of the water industry and the SMMT promotes and supports the UK’s extensive automotive industry.
The NWAA represents around 25 per cent of the UK aerospace industry while ADS Group, with a membership of more than 1,000 businesses, is the premier trade organisation for companies in the UK Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space sectors.
Representatives from each organisation will outline the opportunities available within their sector to suppliers involved in the energy, rail, water, aerospace, defence, security and automotive industries.
They will provide an industry overview and describe how they engage with their supply networks before a key client advises on business activities, opportunities and challenges and how suppliers from outside sectors can become involved.
Exhibition themes include Advanced Engineering, New Technologies and Innovations.
Up to 200 delegates and 30exhibitors and sponsors are expected to attend. The innovative event opens with an evening networking reception on September 12 followed next day by the main Conference - which includes a welcome by Andrew Mills, Chairman of NOF Energy.
George Rafferty, Chief Executive of NOF Energy, said: “Those supply chain companies willing to transfer their innovative skills, products and services into alternative sectors will be able to achieve a more secure and stable future.
“We are delighted that such notable industry organisations have agreed to support this Conference and champion new opportunities. Diversification into alternative markets is an essential part of the modern business strategy.”
