Stockton-based Intasite has recruited its first apprentice after a record-breaking year, which saw a 40% increase in turnover and substantial expansion of its client base.
Kayhan Kajumi, recently appointed as a Software Developer Apprentice through a collaboration with Middlesbrough College, is a T-Level graduate in Digital, Production, Design & Development. With a strong background in web development, Kayhan brings expertise in JavaScript, HTML & CSS, React, Tailwind, SQL, and version control systems such as Perforce and Git.
His experience spans developing online presences for businesses and contributing to projects involving design, prototyping, development, and maintenance. Kayhan’s skills will be instrumental in enhancing Intasite’s digital content for health and safety onboarding programmes.
At Intasite, Kayhan will contribute to both back-end and front-end software development. His responsibilities include creating and refining digital content for Health & Safety inductions, developing training materials, and updating online user guides. Additionally, he will provide customer service and technical support, engage with stakeholders, and assist with implementing future business strategies.
Intasite, a leading technology platform, streamlines safety and site access processes for safety-critical industries. Its comprehensive digital suite supports induction processes, delivering interactive safety modules accessible on any desktop or mobile device. The platform also includes contractor and supplier management, safety briefings, language translations, and integration with access control systems for enhanced security.
Alongside gaining hands-on industry experience, Kayhan will work with high-profile clients, including Budweiser, Virgin Media O2, EDF Renewables, SSE PLC, Sky Studios, CityFibre, and Equinor.
Kayhan said: "I am thrilled to join Intasite as their first apprentice. This opportunity allows me to apply my skills in a real-world setting, collaborate with industry leaders, and contribute to impactful projects. I look forward to growing with the team and making a meaningful difference in safety and site access processes."
Andy Murphy, Technical Director at Intasite, added: “We are excited to welcome Kayhan as our first apprentice – hopefully the first of many – marking a significant step in our ongoing expansion. His arrival comes at a time of robust growth for Intasite, and we are eager to see how his fresh perspective and skills will contribute to our innovative projects.
“It’s also important for us as a business to provide opportunities to local apprentices and equip them with the skills required to thrive in a modern workplace.”
Matthew Chan, Skills Development Manager at Northern Skills/Middlesbrough College Group, said: “It was a pleasure to work with Danielle and Andy at Intasite, and we are privileged to provide the business with Kayhan, its first ever apprentice. We hope this is the beginning of a long working partnership with a fast-growing company like Intasite.”
