Durham Oktoberfest, which showcases excellence in the North East’s Engineering and Manufacturing industries, returns this week for the ninth year, and the show promises to be more successful than ever.
The event provides companies with the opportunities to show their business’ capabilities and to network, striking up new professional relationships. For attendees there is also a busy itinerary of speeches, forums and discussions taking place throughout the day:
A meeting of the North East Maintenance Forum will be held in conjunction with this year’s Oktoberfest. It will include guest speakers such as: Roger O’Brien, director of AMAP &NEMF, Sean Scott, Bridon Bekaert, Dave Bartell, Expert Tooling and Automation and Dr Baglee, chair of NEMF.
For the first time, Oktoberfest has introduced a Q&A session featuring a panel of experts. It will include: Tom Dower, principal of the new University Technical College at Newton Aycliffe, Matt Atkinson, commercial director of Nine Software, Colin Bell, business growth director at the North East LEP, Roger O’Brien, director of AMAP and at the University of Sunderland, Graeme Parkin, managing director of Dyer Engineering.
