Cleveland Bridge celebrates award win at Best of Darlington Awards

Cleveland Bridge is celebrating the achievement of apprentice Steven Liddle at the Best of Darlington Awards 2018.

Steven, 21, who is undertaking a fabrication apprenticeship with the company, won the Vocational Excellence Award at the ceremony held in Darlington’s Dolphin Centre.

Cleveland Bridge was also highly-commended in the Best of Darlington Awards, which are now in their 13th year. The company was a finalist in the ‘Bringing Success to Darlington’.

The Best of Darlington Awards celebrates the achievements of individuals and businesses in the local community. It saw Darlington-based business people from a wide range of sectors come together to celebrate the winners and nominees across 15 award categories.

Chris Droogan, Managing Director at Cleveland Bridge, said: “As a large employer in Darlington, the team at Cleveland Bridge is delighted to have been recognised by these awards, in particular our apprenticeship scheme and the hard work shown by Steven Liddle.

“Steven has shown great commitment to learning throughout his apprenticeship, which has been rewarded with his Vocational Excellence Award.”

Steven Liddle said: “Cleveland Bridge has provided me with excellent support throughout my apprenticeship training so far, and it’s fantastic to win this award. It is spurring me on for the final year of my apprenticeship and the career opportunities with the company in the future.’’
